1. Who you are contracting with
Bunkerverse is operated by the trader identified in our Impressum (“we”, “us”).
For card payments, Stripe is the merchant of record and the legal seller of the product to you; Stripe issues your invoice and handles VAT. Your rights against us under these Terms are unaffected. For crypto purchases, you contract directly with us.
2. Eligibility
You must be 16 or older (or the higher age required where you live) and able to enter a binding contract. One account per person unless we agree otherwise.
3. Accounts, BUNKERTAG, and security
- Your BUNKERTAG is your account identifier. It is yours to hold, not to resell — a market in handles is not part of this service.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- Found a vulnerability? Write to [email protected]. We do not pursue good-faith research that respects other operators’ data.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, is used unlawfully, or endangers other users or the platform. Where we do, we tell you why.
4. What you are buying
- Founder credential — a one-time, lifetime licence granting Founder standing, plus a Founder NFT (a unique on-chain token) recording it.
- Player / Chrono Pass — a recurring subscription granting the corresponding access for the paid period.
- Cosmetics and items — digital goods usable within the verse.
- Guards — a Bunkerguard machine of your own, together with its starting pack of modules, bought once for store credit or by card. The Guard and its starting pack are a single delivery, so a withdrawal within 14 days (§5) recalls both and refunds the full price, unless you gave the consent to immediate delivery described in the Refund Policy §3. The starter Guard you receive when you activate Player and the trial body are never sold and can never be sold.
- Bunker tiers and rooms — one-time digital goods. Moving to a higher tier costs the difference between the tier you hold and the one you buy; there is no upkeep, rent or recurring charge. Rooms are sold only where the catalogue marks them purchasable, and the catalogue states what each room does.
- Store-credit top-ups — prepaid, account-bound credit for our own digital goods (§7). It is a closed loop: it never pays out to money and never moves between accounts; the unspent part is refundable within 14 days of the top-up.
Prices are shown inclusive of applicable tax in your currency before you pay. You pay the price displayed at checkout.
5. Digital delivery and your right of withdrawal
Everything is delivered digitally and, where you consent, immediately. Your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal — and the conditions under which it expires early for immediately-delivered digital content — are set out in full in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Ownership, wallets, and custody
- The Founder NFT is yours. You may hold, transfer, or resell it on external marketplaces. A creator royalty applies on secondary sales.
- Depending on the door you chose, your NFT is held either in a platform-provisioned vault (custodial) or your own wallet (self-custody). We are transparent about which: we never claim you have self-custody while we hold the keys.
- On-chain actions are irreversible. We cannot reverse, recall, or restore a transfer you make, and we cannot recover a self-custody wallet you lose control of.
- Owning the NFT grants the licence and standing described above. It is not a share, security, investment, or promise of profit, and we make no representation about its future value.
7. In-verse currency and items
BKRV and in-verse balances are closed-loop utility credits: they are spent inside the verse and cannot be cashed out to a bank account. They are not e-money, not a payment instrument, and not an investment. Items and currency have no guaranteed value and may change or be retired as the game evolves, subject to §9.
Store credit is a prepaid, account-bound balance for buying our own digital goods. It is bought in the amount you choose (from the minimum shown), never expires, and is capped. It cannot be transferred to another account or paid out. Unspent credit is refundable within 14 days of the top-up (§5). VAT on a top-up is charged once, at purchase, by the merchant of record.
Resale of cosmetic copies and Guards. You may list a cosmetic copy you hold, or a Guard you bought, for store credit. The buyer buys the licence to that copy or Guard from us; when it sells we retain the fee stated when you list (currently 5%) and issue you the remainder as store credit. No credit moves between accounts. A freshly bought copy or Guard cannot be listed for the cooldown shown in the app (currently 7 days). When a Guard sells, its name, class, level and progress go with it; the modules you linked to it and the cosmetics you applied stay with you. The starter Guard and the trial body can never be listed or sold.
XP and the referral programme
XP is a promotional unit we award for playing (the XP released when you activate, missions we credit) and for referrals. XP has no cash value: it cannot be transferred, sold, exchanged for money or store credit, or paid out, and it is not purchased, so §5 does not apply to it. XP redeems only into Player time, at the menu shown in the app (currently 10,000 XP = 30 days; 27,000 = 90; 50,000 = 180; 90,000 = 365 days), into a Guard’s first link of a module, and — as practice — into practice BKRV. Practice BKRV is a simulation balance: it has no cash value, cannot be paid out, transferred or exchanged for store credit, and is wiped at Genesis; your XP and the record of what you bridged carry over. The first platform year is a Simulation in which provisional progress can be reset; what carries through and what does not is published in full at /simulation.
The referral programme pays the person whose code is used, in XP, on this schedule:
| Event | You hold a paid tier (Player / Founder) | You are a Spectator |
|---|---|---|
| An account binds to your code | 100 XP | 100 XP |
| That account first activates Player | 500 XP, plus 7 days on your own Player period if you are a Player | 1,000 XP |
| That account first activates Founder | 1,000 XP, plus 30 days on your own Player period if you are a Player; a Founder also receives the Founder-referrer badge | 3,000 XP |
| That account has held a paid tier for 90 days | 2,000 XP | 2,000 XP |
Each reward is paid once per referred account. An account binds to one code, once, and never to a code of its own. Referral XP is capped at 50,000 XP per account for life; at the cap further events pay nothing. We may withhold or void rewards obtained through fake or duplicate accounts, self-referral through another account, or a payment that is later reversed. We may change or end the programme for the future under §9; XP already credited stays. The same schedule is published by the service beside your code, so what the app shows is what pays.
The Simulation Stage and the Third Reformat
The service currently runs in its Simulation Stage (in-verse: the Recovery Era, Epoch Zero). Progress you make in practice systems is provisional. When the Simulation Stage ends — the Third Reformat — we keep: your account, BUNKERTAG, Founder credential and badges (including the Epoch Zero badge, granted once to every account that took part); every Guard, cosmetic, Bunker tier and room you bought or were awarded; every unit of store credit; your XP and the record of what you bridged; and the read-only record of every provisional verdict. We reset: practice BKRV and anything priced in it; Guard levels earned in practice, class affinity, alignment points and specialization unlocks; season standings, boards and soft currency. Before the Third Reformat we may reset the same practice state early (“containment events”); each is announced in advance in the app. Nothing in the keep list is reset by a containment event or by the Third Reformat, and this list cannot be narrowed by a change under §9 — it can only grow. None of the reset items is purchased or purchasable, so §5 does not apply to them.
8. Acceptable use
Do not: break the law; harass, threaten, or abuse others; cheat, exploit bugs, automate, or manipulate the economy; attack or probe the infrastructure; infringe others’ rights; or misrepresent who you are.
9. Changes to the service and these Terms
The verse is a living product; features change. We may modify the service, and we may change these Terms with reasonable advance notice for material changes. If a material change disadvantages you, you may terminate before it takes effect and we refund any unused prepaid period. We will not retroactively remove Founder standing you paid for.
10. Moderation and appeals
Content moderation is reactive — driven by reports, never proactive scanning. When we act against content or an account we provide a statement of reasons and a route to challenge it.
11. Availability, liability, and warranties
We aim for a reliable service but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation; maintenance and incidents happen.
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for intent or gross negligence, for fraud, under the Produkthaftungsgesetz, or for breach of essential contractual duties (Kardinalpflichten) — in the last case liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time, including full erasure of your personal data. Subscriptions end as described in the Refund Policy. Closing your account does not delete an NFT already held in your own wallet — it remains yours on-chain.
13. Governing law and disputes
German law applies, without depriving you of the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. We are not obliged and not willing to participate in consumer arbitration. The former EU online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025.
14. Contact
Questions, withdrawal, and complaints go to the address in our Impressum.
